Energica has shown off the newest 2019 models of their high power sport bikes in Germany recently. The Energica Ego stole the electric bike motor show. The newest line of Energica electric motorcycles combine impressive speeds and performance. With fresh tech upgrades that more closely than ever resemble the professional Energica electric motorcycles used for racing.
The Ego is a sports-bike, it is also the foundation of the MotoGP MotoE World Cup which will debut in 2019 alongside the main MotoGP races. The most impressive is likely the Energica Ego Sport Black, which more closely resembles the actual racing bikes.
The Ego
The electric motorcycle is a synchronous oil-cooled motor with permanent magnets. It has 107kW of immediate power reaching from 4900 rpm to 10500 rpm. It produces the torque of 200 Nm ranging from 0 rpm to 4700 rpm. Energica Ego accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (100 km/h) in 3 seconds to reach a top speed of 150 mph (240 km/h). It has dynamic thrust with no drooping of engine speed by the constant shifting of the classic internal combustion engines.
Its control units work separately on all controllers. Its battery, the inverter; charger and ABS are regularly monitored and managed by the VCU, designed and developed by Energica. The VCU implements a multi-map adaptive energy, and a power management algorithm manages the electric motorcycle.
The Other Features
Energica Ego does not have a gearbox or a clutch. Everything is done by the ride-by-wire system. This Electric bike is also equipped with a Park assistant as well. The electric motorcycle Energica EGO has a digital dashboard with an active matrix of 4.3 inches and color display. The connectivity for the electric motorcycle is supported by Bluetooth and UMTS long range technology (in progress), allowing you to connect your vehicle to your smartphone. It can be recharged through the columns in the outdoor charging stations or at home, equipped with an on-board battery charger.
